Oreo Pops

Oreo Pops
Our families recently held a baby shower for us back at home in California. I wanted to do my part in helping by adding to the party favor aspect of the shower, a candy bar. I found this easy recipe to make these impressive yet easy Oreo pops. I decided to give it a go. The process was quite easy, just time consuming. It took me 3-4 hours one evening to completely make around 40 Oreo pops including wrapping them up ready to fly cross country. The best part about these is their WOW factor, they are so impressive looking and ridiculously tasty. I will do this again the next time duty calls.

Ingredients:
One pack of Double Stuf Oreos
30-40 Lollipop Sticks
1 Cup Assorted Candy Sprinkles

 Melting Chocolate:
Combine 2 cups Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips with 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil

Directions:
Carefully twist open the Oreos to keep the cream on one side of the cookie. Gently place one lollipop stick per cookie in the center of the cream side. Be sure to get the stick evenly surrounded by cream.

Add a small amount of melted chocolate to the lollipop stick in the cream and cover with the cream-less cookie to glue the cookie back together with the stick inside. Allow it to harden before moving onto the next step.

Take the assembled cookie on the stick and dip into the melted chocolate before dipping into sprinkles. Set down on wax paper or silicone mat to harden. To quicken the process, place in the fridge (or outside in the winter cold) to cool and harden chocolate quicker. for about 5-10 minutes.

Done!

Place pops into plastic bags and tie with a bow.

The final Product: Oreo Pop w/Rainbow Sprinkles
The lovely candy bar from our baby shower, complete with a bun in the oven cake  :)
