White Icing

My co-worker and friend, Candace, shared this recipe with me. She swears by it and so I just had to make it. I gave it a try with some chocolate cake, it was a perfect pairing.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp water
4 ½ tbsp white sugar
2 ⅓ cup confectioners sugar
1 egg white
⅔ cup Crisco, at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

1. In a small saucepan, boil the water and white sugar together for 1 minute.

2. In a large bowl, combine the boiled water/sugar mixture with the confectioners sugar, egg white, Crisco, and vanilla. Combine well so as to fully blend all ingredients and voila your icing is ready. Use icing accordingly and enjoy!
I topped my icing with some cookie crumbles...delicious!
