Wasabi Teriyaki Salmon

Nick found this recipe online and we ended up making it together. It seemed intriguing and although I do not prefer cooking with mayonnaise, we went for it anyway. Making the sauce was irking, but once it was all said and done and we were eating the finished result, it was really good. It reminded me a lot of sushi because of the wasabi flavor and I think we would probably try this again, but maybe with a little more wasabi for an added kick.

1/2 cup mayonnaise
4 tbsp teriyaki sauce
1/2 tsp wasabi paste/powder, or to taste
1 (1 1/2 pound) salmon fillet
salt and pepper to taste
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
aluminum foil

1. Preheat grill for high heat.
2. In a small bowl, blend mayonnaise, teriyaki sauce, and wasabi paste.  Set aside.
3. Place salmon on a large piece of aluminum foil. Spread the mayonnaise mixture over the top of the fillet. Top with green bell pepper and onion. Season with salt and pepper. Fold the foil around the food and seal into a packet.
4. Place fish on the preheated grill. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the fish is easily flaked with a fork.
5. Serve hot. Enjoy!
